Mark is a lifelong Michigan resident. He is married and has two teenaged children. Like so many native Detroiters, both he and his wife were born into families closely tied to the automotive industry. As a young man, Mark worked in his family's tire business, which recently celebrated its 85th anniversary.
Mark received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1979 and graduated from the prestigious Detroit College of Law in 1984, which has since relocated to East Lansing and is now the Michigan State University College of Law.
In 1982, Mark began his legal career as a summer clerk for a small personal injury law firm in the Detroit area. After graduating from law school and passing the bar exam, he was invited to remain at the firm as an associate attorney, where he practiced until he opened his own law office in 1993. During his career as a trial lawyer, Mark has devoted all of his professional energies to representing injured victims in a variety of claims, with special emphasis on dog bites and animal attacks. He has collected millions of dollars in damages on behalf of his clients.
